Taylor Varisco and Brandon Butera

Seniors Taylor Varisco and Brandon Butera were recently named to the Cross Country All-Academic Composite Team by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and Exxon Mobil. The award program recognizes the academic excellence of senior student-athletes who have attained a 3.5 grade point average or higher. To earn Composite Team honors, a student-athlete’s six-semester GPA must be one of the 18 highest in all seven classifications.

Jesuit’s Cross Country team placed first in the District Meet held at the Lakefront course on Friday afternoon (November 2). The team is preparing for the State Meet on Tuesday, November 13 at the usual Northwestern University course in Natchitoches.
