Blue Jay Spirit was abundant at the Jan. 21st gathering of alumni who reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jesuit hosted the reception at Restaurant Il Fornaio at Levi Plaza featuring food, fun, and lots of Blue Jay camaraderie. Blue Jays from 1960 to 2007 shared stories of their days at Carrollton and Banks. And the advancement office staff on hand provided a capsule view of Jesuit today. The opportunity to be with other Blue Jays drew Darrel Schexnayder ’80 from Sacramento, three hours away!

The connection of the Bay Area Jays will only be enhanced as a leadership team is poised to launch Jesuit’s latest alumni chapter. With the wisdom of veterans Charles McClain ’60. Dick Eigenbrod ’61, and Adam Gambel ’72 and the leadership of Charles Zewe ’93 and Joe Balfantz ’98, the Bay Area Alumni Chapter is sure to be active.
