Jesuit senior Christian Collins is directing, choreographing, producing, and performing in a local musical at Rivertown Theatre. Leveraging his experience on and off of the stage, Collins, who also attends NOCCA, has put together a cast of students from across the metropolitan area in a show billed as Raise Your Voice. The revue serves as a fundraiser for The Good Shepherd School, which was founded by former Jesuit president, Harry Tompson, S.J.

Sponsored by Missy Martin—parent of Jesuit alumni Davis Martin ’17 and Hayes Martin ’20 as well as current Blue Jay pre-freshman Maes Martin—the show includes performers from Jesuit, Mount Carmel, Archbishop Rummel High School, Archbishop Chapelle High School, NOCCA, Haynes Academy, Ben Franklin, Brother Martin High School, Lusher, St. Martin Episcopal School, and other local schools.

Performances of the 1-hour-and-fifteen-minute show are set to take place this weekend on January 28, 29, and 30 with tickets ranging from $30-$40.

Those interested in attending should review the details below.

Raise Your Voice is back January 28, 29, 30!

A cast of 26 will delight audiences with musical theatre and pop hits from shows like The Prom, 42nd St, A Chorus Line, Head Over Heels, Spongebob The Musical, Rocketman, Frozen and more.

Rising young performers of the New Orleans theater community share their talents in this benefit musical revue to raise money for The Good Shepherd Nativity Mission School, Inc., a local nonprofit organization that seeks to help low-income, urban youth in order to realize their fullest potential as productive members of society by providing them with an extended-day, year-round, quality education, integrated with personal, moral and spiritual development, and continued guidance during the students’ further education. This year, Raise Your Voice 4 is directed and produced by local teen, Christian Collins, and the production is put together by the youth performers themselves. Sponsored by Missy Martin of Prieur Properties, and Friends of Rivertown Theaters and Encore Studios.
