Junior Connor Bussey has achieved the highest score of 36 on the ACT®. Bussey is an alumnus of St. Ann School and the son of Chelsea Bussey.

In addition to his academic achievements, Bussey serves as Math Bowl Team Captain in Mu Alpha Theta and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is also a College Board National Recognition award recipient.

Beyond the classroom, Bussey is a tenor saxophone section leader in the Blue Jay Band and a member of the jazz band. He also holds the rank of First Lieutenant in MCJROTC, where he serves as Supply Officer, and has volunteered with Sustaining Our Urban Landscapes in New Orleans.

Although only a junior, Bussey plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering and aspires to attend a top-tier institution such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Above all, Jesuit relentlessly pursues God’s greater glory. While students’ academic accolades reflect the school’s mission, they are not the mission itself. They instead signify that Blue Jays are becoming the men that they were made to be: men of faith and men for others.

Alongside celebrating students who attain these academic accomplishments, Jesuit also highlights graduating seniors who are named winners of highly selective merit-based national scholarship competitions. Click here to read about more of these students.
