2026 Blue Jay Bazaar

Sunny skies and high spirits set the scene for the Blue Jay Bazaar, as Jesuit families and supporters gathered for a day of community, celebration, and Blue Jay spirit. Thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsor LAS Shutters & Windows, the event welcomed students, parents, alumni, incoming Blue Jays, and friends of Jesuit for a full day of sunshine, fellowship, and family-friendly activities.
The festivities opened with prayer led by Fr. John Brown, S.J., followed by the presentation of the colors by the MCJROTC. Guests enjoyed an array of food, live music, and entertainment throughout the day. Student performances included Jesuit’s MCJROTC, Jazz Band, Jayettes, Cheerleaders, J-Troupe Improv Comedy Club, and the Philelectic Society, who captivated the crowd with a preview of their upcoming spring musical, Grease. The Rockenbraughs closed out the event with great music, providing a lively finale to the celebration.
From grilling stations and sno-balls to inflatables, pickleball, the always-popular dunk tank, and numerous games and activities, the Bazaar offered something for all ages, creating a welcoming atmosphere across campus. Booth Decorating Contest winners proudly displayed their ribbons, adding to the festive spirit.
One of the weekend’s highlights was the annual Laissez Les Bon Temps Cook-Off, featuring teams from Jesuit’s four student houses along with alumni and parent groups. Xavier House earned the Crème de la Crème Trophy for most taste votes with their Vietnamese Pork Bowl. Chef Glenn Gillen ’85 and his team, Gillens’ True Blue BBQ, took home the Krewe de la Crème Trophy for raising the most money with their pulled pork sliders and smoked pickles.
In celebration of Jesuit’s Campus Centennial, past Bazaar Chairs from the 1980s to the present were recognized on stage, honoring decades of leadership and dedication to this beloved tradition.
The event also featured a highly successful auction, with items including restaurant gift cards, hotel stays, and artwork. The raffle added to the excitement with prizes such as Jazz Fest tickets, a Southwest Airlines gift card, restaurant gift cards, and a beautiful blue bicycle donated by Le Jouet.
Jesuit extends sincere gratitude to the many volunteers who made the Bazaar a success. Special thanks to Bazaar chairs Missy Martin and Gabby Thompson; food & drink chairs Leanne Durham and Erin Mouledoux; and games & booth chairs Lindsay Gibbs and Meredith Yount for their leadership and hard work.
We are especially grateful to our sponsors and donors for their generous support.
