Regular Order, Day 1

  • It’s March, which means March Madness is right around the corner. Bring $5 to the commons this week to sign up for Jesuit’s Mission Drive March Madness Pool. Show off your college basketball knowledge by filling out your bracket for the chance to win prizes.
  • Jesuit Medical Society invites all interested students to attend a guest lecture on the Effects of Vaping on the Body. It will take place Friday during lunch this in Room 317. The Medical Society is also planning a follow-up Narcan Training on Friday, March 27. Space is limited so please sign up for these sessions in Room 317. See Mrs. Tassin for more information.
  • The Youth and Government club will meet today and tomorrow during the first half of lunch in room 228. All Model United Nations delegates must attend.
  • Balfour will be on campus today during lunch in the Student Activities Office, Room 132, to distribute graduation announcements for seniors who ordered them.
  • Freshmen through seniors are invited to join Dr. Delio for IKON questions and discussion today and every Tuesday during the first half of lunch in Room 304.
  • The Spanish Club will meet today during second half of lunch in Room 409 to watch A Million Miles Away.
  • The tennis team will face Newman this afternoon at UNO starting at 4:00.
  • The golf team will face Brother Martin this afternoon at English Turn starting at 4:00.
  • The varsity baseball team will host Edna Karr this afternoon at John Ryan Stadium with first pitch set for 4:30.  Senior Day ceremonies will take place prior to the game.
  • The 9th grade baseball team plays at Hahnville this afternoon starting at 4:30.
  • The junior high track and field team will compete in the Bayou Tree Relays this afternoon at Muss Bertilino.
  • Winter Sports Recognition Night will take place tomorrow night in the auditorium starting at 6:30.  Report time for all basketball, powerlifting, soccer, and wrestling lettermen is 6:10.  Attire is coat, tie, and dress shoes.  Tennis shoes do not meet these requirements.
  • The cheer team is looking for athletes to join the team and help them with competitions next year.  If you’re interested or would like to see what they do, come to the Benson Arena after school at 3:30 pm this Thursday, March 17 and next Thursday, March 26.  There will be free Cane’s to all who attend.
  • Admission representatives from Mercer University and High Point University will be available today during lunch in the College Counseling suite.
