2026–2027 Jesuit Cheerleading Tryouts will be held on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3, in the Benson Arena (gymnasium) and the Roussel Building, located across Banks Street from the main campus at 4133 Banks Street, New Orleans, LA 70119.

A mandatory clinic will be held on Monday, March 2 from 6 – 9 p.m. in Benson Arena (gymnasium). All material needed for the tryout will be taught during this time, including a cheer, a chant, and a small dance routine. There is a $30 registration fee.

The tryout will be held on Tuesday, March 3 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Roussel building. You MUST attend Thursday’s clinic in order to tryout.

Tryouts are open to students who will be entering grades 8–12 and attending an all-girls Catholic school during the 2026–27 school year. Both new and returning cheerleaders are encouraged to try out.

The co-ed cheerleading squad performs at football and basketball games, parades, school events, state competitions, and national competitions.

Attire:

• Please wear a full-length white shirt/tank, modest athletic shorts, and tennis shoes.
• Have ALL of your hair pulled back and out of your face. Hair must be in a high ponytail.
• No jewelry (Medical ID Tags are permitted)

Bring:

• $30 Registration Fee
• Water
• A copy of your most current report card
• Tryout Form (fill the online form below or print a form to bring Thursday)
