Regular Order, Day 4

  • Room Changes: Sophomores in Mr. Caluda’s 1st period (slot 4) Band class as well as sophomores from Mr. Caluda’s 6th period (slot 2) Fine Arts class and Coach Bairnsfather’s 6th period Health and PE class report directly to Computer Lab 1 for your classes today. Students will be meeting with Guidance to complete a version of the Myers Briggs Personality Inventory.
  • Get ready the Friday Pep Rally. Test your strength for house points on a punching machine today during lunch in the courtyard. May the strongest house win.
  • Any 9th or 10th graders interested in trying out for the JV or 9th grade baseball team will meet today during the first half of lunch in the baseball locker room.  
  • The Chess Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 311.
  • Those interested in working on Calliope, Jesuit’s arts and literary magazine, will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 220.
  • All pre-freshmen and freshmen competing in Catholic’s math tournament on Jan. 31 will meet today and tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
  • The 9th grade basketball team will host Salmen this evening in the Benson Arena starting at 5:30.  The jv game follows at 6:30.
  • Mu Alpha Theta members will meet this afternoon from 4-6pm in the cafeteria for a district meeting to play Descartes and eat pizza.
  • All juniors will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the auditorium for a mandatory meeting with Mr. Delatte regarding the Senior Service Project.
  • Students interested in attending Grace at the Greenlight tomorrow should see Mr. Delatte as soon as possible.
  • Second-notice printing fees have been sent to students’ Outlook accounts. Students must pay their fee either before school, at 10-minute break, or during the lunch hour in Room 215 by Thursday, January 15 to avoid receiving a PH and losing computer services.
  • Friday will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt on Friday to show your Blue Jay Spirit.

Results:

  • Last Wednesday, the basketball team defeated Country Day 51-42 behind a great team defensive effort anchored by Brennan Pitts.  Offensively, the team was led by Zach LaGraize who scored 14, and Brennan Pitts who chipped in 11. Sven Jensen hit a big 3 in the 4th quarter to help the team pull away.
