Wrestling pulled off a nail-biting district victory Tuesday night, edging longtime rival Brother Martin in a dramatic dual that came down to the final seconds. Jesuit got on the board early when junior Shane Roddy battled to an overtime win, followed by a momentum-shifting pin from senior Michael Barnett to give the Jays a 9–6 lead. Brother Martin answered with a strong run of their own, building a 22–9 advantage, but the Blue Jays refused to fold. Senior Christopher Stricker and junior Isaac Orillion each delivered clutch technical falls to swing the momentum back, cutting into the deficit and setting up a thrilling finish.

With three matches remaining, seniors Quinn Anderson and Conner Vargas added two more technical falls, pulling Jesuit within striking distance and making it a one-match dual. Senior Will Berry took the mat in the final bout knowing the stakes: a major decision would tie the score, while a technical fall or pin would seal the win. In a tense final minute, a coaches’ misconduct assessed against Brother Martin cost the Crusaders a crucial team point, tying the dual at 32–32. When the dust settled, the Blue Jays claimed the victory on criteria, securing a hard-fought district win in one of the most exciting duals of the season.
