Seven Period Day, Day 1B

  • All Sodality members are invited to Total Sodal Adoration as we finish out the semester tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the small chapel. 
  • The Tabletop Gaming Club will meet today after school in Room 314.
  • Advent Week concludes today during lunch in the commons. Bring your best Christmas sweater and festive attire for pictures with Santa! Best sweater will win a Chick-fil-A gift card. Come out and enjoy the holiday cheer with your fellow Jays today.
  • The Blue Jay newspaper staff will meet today during lunch in the Student Communications Office.
  • The varsity soccer team will host Catholic High this evening at John Ryan Stadium starting at 6:00.
  • The varsity basketball team will continue play in the NOLA Catholic Tournament tonight at Brother Martin vs. De La Salle with tip off set for 7:30. On Saturday the team will close out tournament play hosting Vandebilt Catholic in the Benson Arena starting at 2:00.
  • The jv basketball team will host Rummel on Saturday in the Benson Arena starting at 10:00.
  • The 8th grade basketball team will compete in the Rummel Tournament on Saturday.
  • The junior high wrestling team will compete in a scramble at Rummel on Saturday starting at 9:00.
  • The 8th grade soccer team will compete in the Slidell Tournament on Saturday.
  • The 9th grade soccer team will compete in the Brother Martin Tournament on Saturday at Lafreniere.

Results:

  • Last weekend, 23 students from Jesuit’s Youth and Government Club traveled to Baton Rouge to participate in the annual Louisiana Youth Legislature Conference. After a weekend of debate and politicking, eight Blue Jays had their bills passed into law by both the House and Senate: Congratulations to Peyton Bouchon, Joshua Volpe, Brian Whaley, George David, Henry Dimm, Liam Moore, Parker Lilly, and Mike Graugnard, who all authored successful bills. In their respective House committees, sophomores Theo Patrias and Joseph Koveleskie were the recipients of the Outstanding Bill award, and junior George David was named Outstanding Delegate. Congratulations





























     also to sophomore Rahm Sus, who was elected to the State Board as a House Floor Leader.
