Regular Order, Day 2

  • There will be a meeting for all students seeking to learn more about being received into the Catholic Church or who are seeking missed Sacraments tomorrow during the first half of lunch In St. Ignatius Hall.
  • Confessions will be available tomorrow during both halves of lunch in the small chapel as we continue our observance of Advent.
  • All 8th grade homeroom reps will meet today during the first half of lunch in the Student Activities Office on the first floor.
  • The Chess Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 311. 
  • The Green Club will meet today after school in Room 416 to pick up recycling bins.
  • Join us for Jesuit’s Mulitverse Mixer with Ursuline tomorrow after school from 3:30-5:30 in the Jesuit cafeteria.  All fandoms are welcome to have pizza and a fun time.
  • Homeroom representatives are reminded that the Christmas door decorating contest will conclude tomorrow.  Winners will be announced later and receive donuts when we return in January.  There is a limited amount of wrapping paper in the Student Activities Office.
  • All cross country, football, and swimming lettermen should report to the weight room today at the beginning of the lunch period for lettermen jacket measurements and stripe distribution.
  • Students interested in joining the track team this year should meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 110. See Coach Keiser with any questions.
  • The varsity wrestling team will host Teurlings Catholic in a dual meet tonight in the Benson Arena starting at 6:00.
  • The 8th grade soccer team will host St. Paul’s tonight at John Ryan Stadium starting at 6:00.
  • The 9th grade soccer team will host Newman at John Ryan Stadium tonight starting at 7:30.
  • Second-notice printing fees have been sent to students’ Outlook accounts. Students must pay their fee either before school, at 10-minute break, or during the lunch hour in Room 215 by Thursday, December 11 to avoid receiving a PH and losing computer services.

Results:

  • On Wednesday, the 9th grade basketball team defeated Salmen High School by a score of 40-19. Owen Koloski led the team in scoring with 12. CJ Newsome added 8 points. 
  • The JV basketball team defeated Salmen by a score of 37-22. Race Hughes led the game in scoring with 10 points. Jacolby Trudeau added 6 points, and Chris Jennings dished out several assists. 
  • The Chess Team played at the third scholastic tournament this past Saturday. Arav Kamboj and Christofferson Mercadel were led by Austin Janusa. Arav won three games, earning himself the 2nd place individual trophy. Austin Janusa was undefeated with four wins, earning the 1st place individual trophy. He led the team to claim 1st place overall for the third time in a row, keeping Jesuit undefeated this chess season.
