Regular Order, Day 2

• The varsity cross country team will compete in the state championship meet today at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches starting at 11:15.
• The chess club will meet today during the first half of lunch and tomorrow after school in Room 311. 
• All junior and senior Quiz Bowl players will compete in the KMO computer tournament immediately after school tomorrow in Room 411.

Results:

• The Chess Team played at the second scholastic tournament this past Saturday. Austin Janusa led the chess team of Christofferson Mercadel, Arav Kamboj, and Yousef Fallaha to crush the opposition. Christofferson won the 4^th place trophy with 2 wins and a tie while Arav won the 2^nd place trophy with 3 wins. Leading the team to victory was Austin Janusa with an undefeated record of 4 wins, earning the 1^st place individual trophy allowing the team to win 1^st place again in the second scholastic tournament this year. 
• On Friday, the Juniors defeated the Seniors in a nail-biting game of intramural flag football. Junior quarterback Duke Nitcher led their victory with passing touchdowns to Noah Casey and Finn Monahan. Defensive backs Miles Couvillion, James Adams, and Jacques Hemel held down the senior offense, led by quarterback Tanner Hughes. In the last 30 seconds of the game with seniors winning 13-12, Junior Blake Couvillion drove through for a 2 point conversion, leading the Juniors to victory 14-13. The Juniors also have coach Banks Berniard to thank for his amazing play calling. Well done Juniors.
