- The varsity football team will face McDonogh #35 in the bi-district round of the state playoffs on Friday night at Pan American Stadium with kickoff set for 7:00. Pre-sale tickets are $15.00 each and may be purchased at the GoFan link on our website. All tickets purchased at the gate are $20.00 each. There are NO cash pre-sale or at the gate ticket purchase options for this game. Note that season passes and student ID’s will not be accepted at the gate. Jesuit is the visiting team for this playoff contest. Blue Jay fans should enter from the east (bayou) side of the stadium.
- Friday will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt; or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt on Friday to show your Blue Jay Spirit.
- All students are welcome to witness the matchup of the century as the juniors take on the seniors in football Friday during lunch on Will Clark Field. Bragging rights and more are on the line, so show up and get loud for the Jays.
- Sodality will meet today during the second half of lunch.
- The Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
- All pre-freshmen and freshmen participating in math competitions will practice today and tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
- All 8th, 9th, and 10th grade Quiz Bowl players will compete in the KMO computer tournament today immediately after school in Room 411.
- The varsity wrestling team will face Riverdale in a dual meet tonight at Riverdale starting at 6:00.
- The varsity soccer team will scrimmage University High of Baton Rouge this evening at Lafreniere starting at 7:00.
- The Pickleball Club will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the 3rd floor of the Roussel Building. Sign-up for Pickleball intramurals now on IM Leagues. Students should refer to the Student Life page on Canvas for instructions on how to register. Games will begin next Tuesday.
- The Movie Critics Club will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 221.
- The Chess club will meet tomorrow after school in Room 311.
- Seniors interested in applying to Spring Hill College are invited to Admit On The Hill Day on Friday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Students will tour campus, meet current students, and may receive on-the-spot acceptance and scholarship info. Bring your unofficial transcript. A bus will leave from and return to Jesuit High School. Register using the link on Canvas announcements.
- An admissions representative from Mississippi State University will be available today during lunch in the College Counseling suite.
- Peer Support leaders are reminded that if you are missing a class during your presentation, you must get a slip signed by your teacher and turn it into the Guidance Office. Slips can be picked up outside Mrs. Delaney’s office in Guidance.
Results:
The wrestling team kicked off its season this weekend with nearly 70 Blue Jays competing in 4 different tournaments.
Our 8th graders started the weekend off on Friday night going 4-0 in duals at Brother Martin. On Saturday, one team of Blue Jays competed at St Pauls finishing in 3rd place with Brady Hunter going undefeated.
Another group of Blue Jays traveled to Baton Rouge for the Warrior Open. Finishing as champions on the day were seniors Michael Barnett, Max Belsome, and Conner Vargas. Sophomore William Roniger finished as a runner-up. Seniors, Christopher Stricker and Quinn Anderson finished in 3rd and sophomore Jackson Landry took 4th.T
