The Jesuit swim team continued its remarkable tradition of excellence by capturing its 43rd consecutive District 9-5A Championship on Wednesday at SUNO. The Blue Jays outperformed their competition, scoring 218 points—well ahead of second-place Holy Cross (101), Brother Martin (67), Rummel (57), and St. Augustine (8). Jesuit’s combination of veteran leadership and rising young talent powered another performance as the team swept all three relay events and earned multiple individual titles to secure the championship.

Senior Aidan Villars led the way for the Blue Jays with victories in the 100 Butterfly (50.76) and 200 Freestyle (1:48.49), while junior Conor Samuels added a win in the 200 Individual Medley (2:02.87). Senior Grant Castillon claimed the 100 Backstroke (56.22), and freshman Tripp Yount earned gold in the 500 Freestyle (5:07.39). Jesuit also swept the relay events, taking first place in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 400 Freestyle Relay, underscoring the team’s depth and dominance across all events.

Next up, the Blue Jays will compete in the regional meet at Franco’s in Mandeville on November 7–8, aiming to earn qualifying times for the state championship in Sulphur.
