Jesuit Celebrates 2025 Homecoming Court

Jesuit proudly introduced the 2025 Homecoming Court during halftime of Friday night’s matchup against Karr on October 17 at The Shrine. The court was greeted by the Jayettes, the MCJROTC, and the Blue Jay Band, each adding their unique talents to the occasion.
In a highlight moment of the evening, Fr. John Brown, S.J., crowned this year’s homecoming queen, Claire Deroche — chosen by the Jesuit senior class.
Michael Barnett and Sarah DiGiovanni
Michael Barnett is a senior captain and four-year starter on the varsity wrestling team. He is a member of the Ice Cream Social Club, Investment Club, National Honor Society, and Rugby team, and serves as Senior Class President for the Class of 2026. Barnett plans to attend LSU’s Ogden Honors College next fall. His court partner, Sarah DiGiovanni, is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy, where she serves as an officer of Christian Life Community and a leader of Come Lord Jesus. DiGiovanni is also a member of the Latin National Honor Society and Mount Carmel Cubs Against Destructive Decisions, and plans to attend LSU on a pre-dental track.
Michael Brothers and Mia Kammerer
Michael Brothers is a senior captain and four-year starter of the varsity baseball team and a member of the National Honor Society. He has committed to play baseball and attend Delgado on scholarship next fall. His court partner, Ms. Kammerer, is a senior at St. Scholastica Academy and an honor roll student. She serves as secretary of the HOSA Club and is actively involved in a wide range of academic and service organizations, including the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Rho Kappa Alpha, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and the National Latin Honor Society. Kammerer leads her school in service through her participation in Key Club, Doves for Senior Living, Doves Love Devotion, and SADD. She also gives back to her school community as an open house tour guide, student minister, and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, and is a proud member of the Saint Paul’s varsity cheerleading team. Kammerer plans to attend Louisiana State University next year in pursuit of a career in medicine.
Ford Frischhertz and Stella Junius
Ford Frischhertz is a member of the varsity soccer team and varsity rugby team. He also serves as a Student Council Homeroom Representative and participates in Peer Support, the Big Brother Program, and St. Dominic’s Catholic Youth Organization. He plans to study engineering. His court partner, Stella Junius, is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy, where she is a captain of the state championship varsity soccer team and a member of the cross country and track teams. She is also involved in Come Lord Jesus and Ambassadors, and works as an attendant for Krewe de Camp.
Austin Indest and Josie Randol. Escorting Ms. Randol is Coleman Edwards.
Austin Indest serves as Vice President of the Student Council and is a letterman on the varsity football team and three-time state-champion lacrosse team. He is also a member of Sodality, Mu Alpha Theta, Big Brother, Peer Support, the National Honor Society, and serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He plans to major in Biology and attend medical school. His court partner, Josephine Randol, is a three-year captain of Mount Carmel’s state championship varsity soccer team. She is an AP Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society and Extraordinary Minister Team, an officer of the MCA Ambassador Team, and a Come Lord Jesus leader. Randol also volunteers as an attendant at Krewe de Camp for children with special needs.
Tyler Oufnac and Claire Deroche
Tyler Oufnac is a member of the varsity basketball team and varsity track and field team. He is also involved in the National Honor Society, Big Brother, and Peer Support. He is still discerning his college choice but plans to pursue a career in the medical field. His court partner, Claire Deroche, is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy, where she is a member of Teens for Life, Book Club, and Christian Life Community, and serves as captain of the Jayettes dance team. Deroche plans to attend LSU and major in Forensic Psychology.

Cole Puneky is a letterman of the varsity football team and golf team and serves on the Student Council Executive Board. He is the recipient of the Royal Honda Service Award and is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society, Sodality, and the Investment Club. Outside of school, he raised $115,000 for Blood Cancer United and serves on its leadership committee. Puneky hopes to attend the University of Georgia to double major in Finance and Accounting. His court partner, Claire Sarrat, is a senior at St. Mary’s Dominican High School, where she is involved in the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. She also serves through Campus Ministry and Student Ambassadors and is a member of the Jayettes Dance Team. Sarrat plans to major in Kinesiology.
Christopher Stricker and Ava Schott
Christopher Stricker is a captain of the three-time state-championship wrestling team. He is also a member of Sodality, the St. Joseph’s Society, and the National Honor Society. Stricker plans to major in Chemical Engineering. His court partner, Ava Schott, is a senior at Mount Carmel Academy, where she serves as a Come Lord Jesus leader and is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Christian Life Community, and Teens for Life. She is also a Holy Cross cheerleader. Schott plans to major in Biology with the goal of becoming an assistant physician.
