THREE DAYS Left Until Parents’ Annual Giving Deadline

With three days left in this phase of the Parents’ Annual Giving Drive, students are cheering on the entire Blue Jay community in this special countdown. Parents are encouraged to “answer the call” from their peers, who are hard at work making sure the word is out about the importance of PAG.

“The response from our parents up until now has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Christian Bautista ’06, Jesuit’s director of institutional advancement. “I am always humbled by the leadership of our parent volunteers and the generosity of all of the parents and alumni who share in Jesuit’s mission with our teachers and coaches.”

Families are encouraged to discern the level of participation that is right for them.

“One thing we want to emphasize this year is that every gift really makes a difference,” he added. “It takes just $485 to cover the full cost of educating a student for a week or even just $97 for a single day. Think about the best week or the best day that a young man has at Jesuit. It’s incredible to provide that day to him with a philanthropic gift.”

Fr. Brown kicked off the week with this letter to families:

This week is a critical time for PAG. I hope and expect that we can count on your support as an irreplaceable part of Jesuit’s mission alongside our teachers, coaches, and administrators.

As I mentioned in the video above, your commitment to PAG is a real way of living out St. Ignatius’s Prayer for Generosity: “Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous. Teach me to serve You as You Deserve.” Your sons will also take in this important lesson by your example. Your timely response also greatly helps your fellow parents who volunteer their time to PAG.

On behalf of our faculty, staff, and parent volunteers, I hope that you rest assured of our gratitude for your generosity. Thank you for all that you do to help keep Jesuit the special place that it is for families from all walks of life.

Fr. John Brown, S.J.
President
