Assembly Order #2, Day 6

  • Get your wands ready for the final Welcome Week activity!   Witness a battle for the ages as students from all grade levels and houses come together for a lunchtime paint duel in the courtyard!   This is the last chance for House Cup points this week, so come out to participate and support your fellow Jays!
  • The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116 to watch “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.” 
  • Mu Alpha Theta will host math tutoring for students in Intro Algebra through Algebra II today during the second half of lunch in Room 229.
  • Come join the Society of Saint Joseph for an IKON style discussion led by Dr. Delio about the question “What does it mean to be a man?” today during the second half of lunch in Room 304. 
  • The Blue Jay Choir will meet today immediately after school in the choir loft. 
  • All 8th and 9th grade students interested in learning about and joining the Jesuit Robotics Club will meet today from 3:30-4:30pm in Room 307. Check in with Mr. Keen when you arrive.
  • Students who want to be part of the Set Crew for The Philelectic Society’s fall production of An American in Paris are invited to a brief interest meeting today after school in Room 202. Come find out how you can help bring Paris to life on stage.
  • The varsity football team will play at Northshore in its jamboree this evening with kickoff set for 7:00.  The jv jamboree begins at 6:15, while the 9th grade jamboree begins at 5:30.  Tickets can be purchased online from the link on our website.
  • Students interested in helping serve breakfast at Grace at the Greenlight, a soup kitchen that serves breakfast to homeless men and women in the city, should see Mr. Delatte in Room 127 to pick up a permission form.
  • Tomorrow we will celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Students are to come to school wearing a dress coat, dress shirt, tie, slacks, belt, dress shoes, and socks.  You may wear a suit if you wish. You must wear your coat and tie for homeroom and Mass.  We will meet in homeroom on Friday.
  • Loupe Photgraphy will be taking make-up and retake pictures immediately after the Mass of the Holy Spirit until 10am in St. Ignatius Hall.
  • The 8th Grade Retreat is tomorrow. Prefreshmen are reminded to bring a change of clothes, including your House Patron shirt, to school tomorrow. Dismissal will take place at 1:45.
  • Attention Big Brothers: please check your Canvas messages for an important update from Mr. Bacon regarding the 8th grade retreat. There you will find the room you will be reporting to, in addition to any changes with your Little Brothers.
  • All Sophomores are reminded that Sudden Impact permission slips for UMC are due this Friday. Students can either turn them in to their Homeroom teachers or to Ms. Joan in Guidance. Additional copies are available from Ms. Joan if needed.
  • Seniors are reminded that their essays are due next Thursday, Sept. 4. Both a digital copy should be submitted via Canvas and a hard copy turned into Mr. Delatte’s office, Room 127.
