This summer, ten rising juniors—John Martello, Chase Cooper, Owen Truxillo, Evan Morgan, Gareth Berner, Isaac Orillion, Calvin Magee, Duke Nitcher, Robert Schiaffino, and Jude Schiro— joined the inaugural cohort of the AMDG (ad majorem Dei gloriam) program at Boston College alongside moderator Paul Hatty. Launched by the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies, AMDG invites participants into a year-long journey of faith exploration and service rooted in Ignatian tradition.

Delegates from Jesuit were nominated by theology teachers, sodality leaders, and club and sport administrators, then selected through interviews. They will return to campus prepared to collaborate with local Ambassadors and share their experiences with the Blue Jay community over the coming year.

As one of just fifteen high schools nationwide chosen for the program, Blue Jays participated in the week-long Ever to Excel program this summer. Throughout the year, they will engage in mentorship with ambassadors, spiritual conversations, in-person retreats, and conclude with a pilgrimage on the Camino Ignaciano in Spain. In retracing the footsteps of St. Ignatius, they will deepen their formation, growing into the men they were made to be and committing themselves ever more fully as men for others.
