Jesuit’s pursuit of God’s greater glory is a partnership with families, and the school’s philosophy is that parents play a pivotal role in their sons’ formation during high school. Jesuit recently hosted its annual Mothers’ Mass & Morning of Reflection, an event that brings together Blue Jay mothers, current mothers, mothers of alumni, grandmothers of alumni, and new mothers. This gathering offers an opportunity for reflection and communal celebration during the Easter season.

This year, the Mass was celebrated by Jesuit’s chaplain, Fr. Jon Polce, S.J., who imparted a timely message on the theme of renewal. His homily underscored the ongoing opportunity for personal and spiritual rejuvenation that Easter provides. Accompanying the Mass were the musical contributions of Elizabeth Rizzo and Jeff Miraflor, S.J., whose talents greatly enhanced the liturgy.

Following the Mass, mothers were privileged to hear from Fr. Kramer, S.J., who offered an engaging reflection on Christian self-mastery. His talk provided insightful and practical advice on achieving a more fulfilled spiritual life, articulating methods that may be lesser-known yet profoundly effective for personal growth in faith.

The Mothers’ Mass & Morning of Reflection concluded in St. Ignatius Hall, where attendees enjoyed light refreshments and the chance to mingle with fellow Blue Jay mothers. This annual event not only strengthens the bonds within the Jesuit community but also reaffirms our shared commitment to faith and family.
