This past weekend, Jesuit welcomed hundreds of new Blue Jays and their families for Welcome Day. Incoming Jays represented a vast array of middle schools from all over the region and offered new families a chance to meet one another and connect with Jesuit’s leadership and administration.

Before proceeding to the Chapel of the North American Martyrs for a welcome address, new families were warmly greeted by Jesuit parent volunteers and cheerleaders. President Fr. John Brown, S.J., admissions director Bret Hanemann ’85, and campus minister Nick Blair, S.J. shared insights that acquainted families with the school’s core purpose and values.

As incoming students toured the campus with their big brothers, parents heard from school administrators, including the school’s principal for the upcoming school year, Jeremy Reuther ’01. Families were invited to the upcoming Blue Jay Bazaar, where incoming students will receive a special gift at the welcome tent.

The day’s events concluded in the Traditions Courtyard. Parents met their sons’ big brothers for the first time, marking the close of the morning and the beginning of their sons’ Jesuit journey.

Parents who have any questions about the registration or enrollment process should contact the school at admissions@jesuitnola.org.
