Parents of new students were welcomed to campus and to the Jesuit family by the school’s interim president on August 18 and August 19. After the Welcome Masses, Fr. John Brown, S.J., thanked families for entrusting Jesuit with their sons.

“When I read about the uncertainty of the times, I am comforted in the certainty that Jesuit will fulfill its mission in developing the competence, conscience, and compassion in your sons that will enable them become men of faith and men for others.“

Fr. Brown also provided new parents with an overview of the school’s COVID-19 education plan, which includes both in-class instruction and home learning, discussed campus safety measures that have been put in place, and introduced new families to the school’s financial model that allows Jesuit to keep tuition at an affordable level for most families.

Parents also heard from pre-freshmen guidance counselor Robin Rhodes, who shared tips that will help new Blue Jays make a smooth transition from middle school to Jesuit.

Finally, Tom Bagwill, Director of Institutional Advancement, personally invited parents to get involved in the school’s volunteer efforts.

New Parents’ Orientation and Mini-Schedule will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 25 (Last Names A-K) and Thursday, Aug. 27 (Last Names L-Z). Both events begin at 6 p.m. in the Jesuit Auditorium.
