Regular Order, Day 3

  • Adoration will take place today in the 2nd floor chapel. Benediction will begin at 12:50.
  • The Philelectic Society’s production of Into the Woods continues with performances tonight at 7:30 and Saturday at 2:00 and 7:30.  Tickets are available on the Jesuit website and in the Phils’ office, Room 201.
  • The Homeroom Tug-a-War Contest will wrap up today during the second half of lunch in the Courtyard with the senior class.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The newly formed Politics and Pastries Club will hold an information meeting for interested members today during the second half of lunch in Room 323.
  • The Herpetology club will meet today during the 2nd half of lunch in Room 229.
  • Urban Farming Club will meet today after school in Room 311 

  • The varsity track and field team will compete in the Strawberry Relays at Southeastern Louisiana University this evening.

  • The JV baseball team will play at Shaw this afternoon starting at 4:30.  On Saturday the team will host Holy Cross at 12:00 at John Ryan Stadium.

  • The varsity baseball team will host Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon at John Ryan Stadium with first pitch set for 3:30.

  • The 8th grade baseball team will continue play in the Jesuit Invitational Tournament this evening at John Ryan Stadium.

  • The Rugby team will play tomorrow in the Louisiana State Championship against the Bayou Hurricanes at Shaw High School with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m.
  • The Paintball outing scheduled for Saturday is postponed for a later date.
  • Registration is still open for Jesuit’s summer ACT Prep Course that will prepare students for the June 8 ACT. See the Jesuit website or Mr. Villarrubia about registering.
  • Top’s tip of the day: Being called a Blue Jay – should be a matter of pride to all who have that title.

Results:

  • Congratulations to the Varsity Lacrosse Team for earning another win against Baton Rouge Catholic High with a score of 17-7. 
  • Congratulations also to the 8th Grade Lacrosse Team for going undefeated in the Lax In The Park Tournament.
