Students meet in a small group at the 2017-2018 Freshman Retreat.

The Freshman Retreat will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Jesuit. The afternoon retreat focuses on developing the pillar of “Loving” in the Profile of a Graduate at the Time of Graduation.

Drop-Off:
  • 1:30 – 1:55 p.m. in the Traditions Courtyard
Pick-Up:
  • 7:00 p.m. – Parents are invited to the retreat Mass in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Parent’s not attending Mass should pick up their sons in the schoolyard.

Upon arrival, freshmen will receive their meeting room assignment in the courtyard. A pizza dinner will be provided during the evening. Dress for the night of reflection is casual but respectful: jeans or decent shorts, pullover shirt or presentable T-shirt (no T-shirts advertising liquor or bearing suggestive messages), and tennis shoes are all acceptable. Cell phones are not allowed at the Freshman Retreat. This night of reflection is a required Jesuit school function; thus all school rules of conduct apply. During pick-up, parents can enter the yard via the Banks Street entrance and line up in the same manner as a normal school day dismissal. Parents may park outside of the campus and walk to the courtyard to pick up their sons; however, students will not be allowed to leave the courtyard to meet their ride outside of school grounds.

Please contact Peter Flores, the director of campus ministry, at flores@jesuitnola.org with any questions, or visit the Freshman Retreat page for more information.
