It’s time to celebrate Blue Jay Basketball! You and your family are invited to the
Jesuit Basketball Homecoming on Friday, January 26, 2018.

Last year, Blue Jay alumni enjoyed their pre-game reception and sat courtside for the 2017 Homecoming game. Courtside bleachers will again be pulled out for alumni and families to get a close-up seat for the big game.

Plans have been finalized for the Jesuit Basketball Alumni Homecoming. Blue Jays who wore the Blue and White on the court during their time at Carrollton and Banks and their families are invited to celebrate this legacy this Friday at the Jesuit High School Recreation Center (aka “the gym” and “The Birdcage). This complimentary event will be an occasion to view the renovated gym, recognize the 1948 state championship basketball team, and cheer on the 2018 Jays as they take on the Eagles of Warren Easton, all while enjoying the fellowship as sons of Jesuit High School.

The events will unfold as follows. Please note that the event’s location and agenda have changed since the initial announcement. The reception will be in the gym, not the Student Commons as previously announced. Note the changes below:

6 p.m.
Basketball alumni and their families are invited to a reception and Open House in the gym. Basketball alumni will receive a special gift, and complimentary finger food and refreshments will be served. Guests are welcomed to tour the renovated gym.
6:50 p.m. Basketball alumni (no children or other family members, please) are invited to join Coach Chris Jennings and his varsity team for the pre-game talk. The reception ends and basketball alumni’s families take their place in the reserved bleachers on the visitors’ side facing the varsity Jays.
7:25 p.m. A pre-game ceremony will feature welcoming comments from Fr. Chris Fronk, Jesuit’s president, and Dave Moreau, athletic director; the invocation; presentation of the Colors by Jesuit’s MCJROTC; the National Anthem performed by the Blue Jay Band; and the introduction of players.

Halftime The Jesuit 1948 basketball team will be recognized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of their state championship.
