David Scotton ’12 visited Jesuit in 2015 to share a draft of the documentary film I Lived on Parker Avenue with students in their theology classes. On Thursday, Scotton will present the finished film to the Jesuit community at large.

On Thursday, Oct. 26, David Scotton ’12 will offer a New Orleans Pre-Release Screening of  I Lived on Parker Avenue in the Jesuit auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 PM for the presentation at 7:00 PM.

As a student Scotton was a member of the Jesuit Pro-Life Club and began sharing his story through the annual Pro-Life Oratory Contest. Scotton’s birth mother had made the courageous choice for life while she was waiting at an abortion facility many years ago. From there she began an adoption process that would eventually lead David to the life he has lived with his parents in the New Orleans area.

The short film, I Lived on Parker Avenue, chronicles Scotton’s journey of self-discovery while traveling to meet his birth parents. Scotton is happy to return to Carrollton and Banks to share his story with the Jesuit community.
