Noted national rugby columnist Alex Goff recently included the Blue Jay rugby team in his listing of national ranked high school rugby teams. The team moved into the rankings after defeating two ranked teams and tying a third on consecutive weekends. The team tied No. 28-ranked Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, 5-5 and defeated both No. 40 Katy Texas Barbarians, 12-11, and No. 23 St. Paul’s, 19-12. (St. Paul’s is also the defending state champion.)

The No. 20 Blue Jays join several other Jesuit schools in the national rankings: Jesuit High School of Sacramento (No. 2); Xavier High School, New York (No. 5); Saint Ignatius High School, Cleveland, Ohio (No. 7); Regis Jesuit High School, Aurora, Colorado; and Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas (No. 28).
