As the 2019 Parents’ Annual Giving drive (PAG) approaches the pledge deadline on Sept. 13, PAG chairman Jeremy Mancheski ’90 spoke to students at morning assembly about the sacrifices necessary to keep Jesuit … Jesuit.

“Your parents are keeping Jesuit an affordable institution of excellence,” Mancheski told students. “Please thank them. They give 100%. They are all-in. Now, I ask the same of you.” Mancheski offered three ways students can show support: being men for others, being excellent everything they do, and being prepared to support their alma mater once they enter their adult lives.

The PAG drive is an annual campaign to make up the difference between what Jesuit charges for tuition and what it actually costs to educate a Blue Jay. That difference is made up by contributions from parents in the PAG drive and from alumni and parents of alumni through their own annual giving drives. Donations to PAG go directly into the school’s operating budget, ensuring that tuition remains affordable and accessible for most families.

All PAG pledges, are due by Friday, Sept. 13. Parents have until May 2020 to fulfill their commitments. All PAG donations are tax deductible. Questions about the drive should be submitted to PAG coordinator Krista Roeling at roeling@jesuitnola.org.
