Alumni of all ages returned to Carrollton and Banks on Saturday, Sept. 30, for this year’s Alumni Mass and Reception. In addition to the class reunions celebrated at 5-year intervals, Jesuit hosts this event each year to welcome alumni from all graduating classes and promote Blue Jay Spirit.

The celebration began with Mass at 6 PM in the Chapel of the North American Martyrs. Jesuit president Fr. Christopher Fronk, S.J., was the principal celebrant, joined on the altar by Fr. Kevin Dyer, S.J.; Fr. John Brown, S.J.; and Fr. Paul Shaughnessy, S.J.

At the Mass, Jesuit presented its 2017 Alumnus of the Year, Jack Laborde ’67. Also recognized at the Mass were the 50-year and 25-year anniversary classes, 1967 and 1992 respectively.

A lively reception followed Mass in the Student Commons and Traditions Courtyard. The reception included food compliments of Drago’s and Acme Oyster House, an open bar, and music by F.A.S.T. (Ferrato Autin Sipos Trio).
