Blue Jays Earn 19 Awards at 2015 State Literary Rally

Among the 19 winners from the 2015 state rally were: junior Zachary Gandy, freshman Graeme MJehovich, freshman Chris Ross, freshman Andrew Busenlener, sophomore Jonathan Vegh, pre-freshman Matthew LaCour, and pre-freshman (Theorodre) Miller Goldenberg.

 Blue Jays enjoyed another solid performance in State Literary Rally held on LSU’s campus in Baton Rouge. This year, 19 students placed in the top of their events for Division I. First, second, and third place winners each will receive a medal and a certificate from the Louisiana High School Rally Association recognizing their accomplishments. Overall Winners will receive a $400 scholarship for a Louisiana college or university.

Jesuit competitors earned the following distinctions:

Excellent 4 students

Jesuit sent 38 students overall to compete in the state rally’s literary and open events in foreign languages. To participate in the state competition, students either qualified by finishing in the top five in a literary event at the District Literary Rally or were chosen by the academic department to represent the school in open foreign language events. Each student may test in no more than one State Rally Literary Event.
