The Right Angle…

On Wednesday, Feb. 22, sophomores in Mrs. Kate Brauner’s geometry class fashioned clinometers, which are used to measure angles of elevation, from a protractor, straw, string, and binder clip. Their goal? Accurately measure the height of an object in Traditions Courtyard. From lamp posts to ground-to-roof elevations, students measured in teams, putting their DIY projects to the test. Pictured here, Adam Francis (left) and Remy Lavie (right) use their clinometers while Ben Haase helps them with the tape measure.
