Pre-freshman Connor Campbell places a crown of flowers on the head of the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary at assembly on Monday morning. “May Crowning” is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual that honors the Virgin Mary as “the Queen of May”. The Marian statue at Jesuit is located at the heart of Traditions Courtyard, where students meet for assembly every Monday and Friday.
