Admissions Process
Welcome, Aspiring Blue Jays
Our admissions team is here to guide and support your family throughout the entire admissions process—from inquiry to application. We are committed to making this process as easy as possible while we create an exciting welcoming experience for your family.
Jesuit uses a Parent Portal, powered by Blackbaud, to assist parents with enrollment process. Within this portal, you can register for campus tours, sign up for admission events, and submit your application. To complete the application process, students are required to submit a Jesuit application, submit the required student records, and take the High School Placement Test on January 9, 2027.
Follow the step-by-step directions below to get started:
1. Setup Your Admissions Portal (powered by Blackbaud)
Before you can register for events, schedule a tour, or apply to Jesuit, prospective families must first complete the Inquiry Form. Please submit the Inquiry Form only once. Once submitted, a member of the admissions team will review and approve your inquiry. Forms submitted after school hours or over the weekend will be processed on the next business day. You will not be able to access the remaining admissions steps until your inquiry has been approved.
If you have previously registered for an admissions event or have already completed the Inquiry Form, you do not need to submit another one. Simply log in to your existing Parent Portal to register for events, schedule a tour, or begin your application.
New Blackbaud Users: (If you have registered for events in the past, please proceed to the existing users box below.)
You will then receive an email inviting you to set up your Blackbaud account. Once your account is created, you can submit your application.
Existing Blackbaud Users:
If you are an existing Blackbaud user, you will not receive an email confirming your Inquiry Form submission. Please just wait 24-hours for this to take effect or the next business day, if completed outside of school hours, and you will have automatic access to your admissions portal.
You are considered an existing Blackbaud user if you have a child currently enrolled at Jesuit or a child at another school that also uses Blackbaud (i.e. Stuart Hall, Sacred Heart, McGehee). You can begin using your admissions parent portal after a team member approves your initial Inquiry Form.
Note: if you are an existing Blackbaud user and parent of a current Jesuit student, you must use the same email that is used to pay your tuition through Blackbaud.
2. Register for Admissions Events
We look forward to getting to know your family and helping you discover more about the Jesuit experience through the opportunities below. Jesuit’s Parent Portal, powered by Blackbaud, serves as your central resource throughout the admissions and enrollment process. Through the portal, families can schedule campus tours, register for admissions events, and complete an application.
Below, you will find upcoming admissions events and important dates. While attendance at admissions events is not required for admission to Jesuit, registration is required for any events your family plans to attend. Our goal is to make each step simple and straightforward while providing your family with a welcoming and engaging introduction to Jesuit. Please scroll below to learn more about each event and our Blue Jays.
➥ Campus Tour
Campus tours offer a more personal opportunity to explore Jesuit outside of our larger admissions events. While these are not private tours, groups are kept small to provide a more engaging experience. Campus tours are also the only opportunity for prospective families to visit Carrollton & Banks during a school day and get a firsthand look at the daily life of a Blue Jay.
➥ Blue & White Night
September 26, 2026
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Boys currently in grades 6–8 are invited to experience the energy and spirit of Jesuit at Blue & White Night, a high-energy evening under the lights of John Ryan Stadium.
Designed especially for prospective Blue Jays, the night is filled with games, activities, food, and plenty of friendly competition. It is a chance for boys to spend time on campus, meet other prospective students, and get a taste of the brotherhood, tradition, and fun that are part of the Jesuit experience.
Blue & White Night lasts approximately three hours. Students should wear athletic shorts, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Carpooling is encouraged. For a sneak peek, check out pictures from Blue & White Night, 2025.
➥ Blue Jay Band Experience
October 2, 2026
begins at 3:00 p.m
Prospective students currently in grades 5–8 who play a musical instrument are invited to experience the excitement of performing as a Blue Jay at the Blue Jay Band Experience.
Participants will spend the afternoon alongside members of the Blue Jay Marching Band, beginning with rehearsal on campus before traveling with the band to Tad Gormley Stadium. That evening, they will take the field and perform in front of thousands of fans as the Blue Jays face Holy Cross in the annual Rivalry Game.
The experience begins at Jesuit at 3 p.m., when participants should arrive with their instruments, and concludes after the game at approximately 10 p.m.
From rehearsal to the stands to performing under the stadium lights, the Blue Jay Band Experience gives young musicians a firsthand look at the music, tradition, and school spirit that make being part of the Jesuit Band so memorable.
➥ Open House
November 4, 2026
Session times 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
Prospective students and their families in grades 5–8 are invited to experience Open House, our most comprehensive opportunity to discover what it means to be a Blue Jay.
Throughout the evening, families will meet the students, faculty, staff, coaches, alumni, and parents who bring the Jesuit experience to life each day. Guided by a current Blue Jay, guests will explore campus and learn more about Jesuit’s rigorous academic program, competitive athletics, co-curricular opportunities, student life, the admissions process, and tuition and financial aid.
Open House lasts approximately two hours. Parking is available on Will Clark Field, with cars entering from Banks Street, weather permitting.

➥ Ignite (Formerly Momentum)
April 17, 2027
8:30 a.m.
Prospective students currently in grades 5th–6th are invited to IGNITE! (formerly known as Momentum), an interactive afternoon of discovery designed especially for future Blue Jays.
Through hands-on activities in science, technology, mathematics, and the arts, participants will learn alongside Jesuit faculty and current students while getting a taste of academics at Carrollton & Banks. Boys may find themselves coding in the robotics lab, conducting science experiments, competing in academic challenges, exploring their creativity, and putting their problem-solving skills to the test.
More than a day in the classroom, IGNITE! encourages boys to be curious, think creatively, try something new, and discover just how exciting learning can be at Jesuit.
3. Required Student Records
Please be prepared to submit the following Required Student Records*: cumulative school record, any standardized test scores, copies of last 3 years of report cards (including his most recent grades), discipline reports, and attendance records.
- Catholic elementary schools will send these records for you, please do not submit your own records.
- All other elementary school (public or private) MUST send the Required Student Records* to Jesuit High School. Here is a Transcript Request Form to use at your current school to obtain records. All records and application is due by Monday, November 16.
4. Archdiocesan Application Form
- Catholic Elementary Schools – On the last line of this form, identify the Selected High School your child hopes to attend for the 2027-2028 school year. Once the form is completed, return it to your son’s elementary school. Your Catholic elementary school will send the Archdiocesan Application Form and all necessary Required Student Records* on your child’s behalf. The Archdiocese of Application Form will be made available Wednesday, November 11 and are due back to your elementary school on Friday, November 13. Please do not submit your own records.
- All other elementary schools (public or private) – DO NOT need to submit this form.
5. Jesuit Application
All applicants must fill out the Jesuit Application in their admissions portal by Monday, November 16. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of our admissions team with any questions: 504-483-3937
6. High School Placement Test – January 9, 2027
Required for All Applicants
All applicants to Jesuit High School will take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The $40 one time, non-refundable, non-transferable fee is included with the application fee paid on Blackbaud. Applicants must complete the online Jesuit Application prior to testing, as it also serves as registration for the HSPT.
Placement Test Day Procedures:
- Drop-off begins at 7 a.m. in the courtyard at Jesuit High School.
- Drivers should enter the campus at the corner of Solomon Street and Banks Street, proceed to the brick courtyard, and drop off their student.
- Students should arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. to check in and walk to their classroom.
- Students must be seated in their testing rooms no later than 7:40 a.m., and testing will last until approximately 11:40 a.m.
- Pick-up will follow the same procedure as drop-off.
Items to Bring & Dress Code:
- A printed copy of your most recent report card
- Two sharpened #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils, please)
- Calculators are not allowed
- Attire is casual
Although all records are taken into consideration, results of testing administered on this day may be used not only to determine high school placement, but also to determine admission.
7. Dear Blue Jay Letters – February 26, 2027
Families will receive a letter informing them of the status of their son’s application. Applicants will also be notified via email after noon.
8. Welcome Day – March 20, 2027, 9 – 11 a.m.
All incoming students are required to attend Welcome Day on Jesuit’s campus. Students and their families will be invited to this event once they are accepted.
