Swim Claims 44th Consecutive District Championship

Scoring 605.5 points, the Blue Jays swept all three relay events and earned individual titles across multiple events to claim a milestone district title.

Jesuit Swimming continued its remarkable tradition of excellence by capturing its 44th consecutive District 9-5A Championship. The Jays outperformed their competition, scoring 605.5 points, well ahead of Holy Cross (396.5), Brother Martin (359), Rummel (207), and Chalmette (92). A combination of experienced leadership and rising young talent powered another championship performance as the team swept all three relay events and claimed multiple individual titles.

Sophomores Tripp Yount and Harrison Tschirn led the way with two individual victories each. Yount captured first place in the 200 Freestyle (1:51.02) and 500 Freestyle (5:00.74), while Tschirn claimed the 100 Butterfly (53.79) and 100 Backstroke (55.54). The Blue Jays also swept the 200 Medley Relay (1:39.70), 200 Freestyle Relay (1:32.11), and 400 Freestyle Relay (3:21.22), demonstrating the team’s depth across events. Additional strong finishes from freshmen Brandon Jollands and Trip Hemelt, juniors Aiden Kee and James Ganucheau, sophomore Liam Phan, and senior Louis Roux contributed to the championship victory.

Next up, the Blue Jays will compete in the Metro Championships, November 6–7 in Mandeville.
