- The Back to School Dance will be held this Saturday from 7-10pm in the Benson Arena. Lock in begins at 8pm, and bring your best Hawaiian shirt. Tickets are $20 cash at the door.
- The varsity football team will play at Northshore in its jamboree this evening with kickoff set for 7:00. The JV jamboree begins at 6:00, while the 9th grade jamboree begins at 5:00. Tickets can be purchased online from jesuitnola.org/tickets.
- Will injuries sink the Saints? Will Benedict Mathurin help the Pelicans? Discuss these topics and more at today’s Sports Analysis Club during the first half of lunch in Room 231.
- The newly formed World Politics Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 308 to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine.
- Anyone interested in joining the wrestling team should meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 228.
- Intramural flag football registration is open. Sign up on IMleagues.com.
- Anyone interested in helping to plan intramural sports and events this year or being on the intramural sports leadership team will meet today during the second half of lunch in Computer Lab 2.
- Anyone interested in learning how to make video games should attend an organizational meeting of the Game Dev Club tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 419. No prior coding experience necessary.
- J-Troupe, Jesuit’s elite improv comedy team, will meet tomorrow from 3:00 to 4:30 in Room 202.
- Juniors, please check your Outlook accounts for an invitation to apply for membership in the National Honor Society. Invitations were sent to Juniors who currently meet the NHS academic, discipline, and service requirements. If you did not receive an invitation, you are not eligible for membership at this time. Please check your inbox carefully for important information and next steps. See Mrs. Goens or Mrs. Centner with questions.
- Seniors are reminded that their essays are due next Thursday, Sept. 3. A hard copy should be brought to Room 126 and a digital copy submitted on Canvas.
- Jesuit will begin its first visit to Grace at the Greenlight on Thursday, Sept. 10. Grace at the Greenlight operates a soup kitchen which feeds breakfast to the homeless in the city. If you are interested in participating on Sept. 10, or in finding out more, please come see Mr. Delatte in Room 126 to get a permission form.
- The Evangelization Team is excited to announce a pilgrimage to Japan and South Korea for World Youth Day next summer. We will visit Catholic landmarks in Japan before joining Pope Leo and over a million pilgrims from around the world in Seoul. Any current Jesuit student interested in making this once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage is invited to an information meeting for students and parents this Monday at 6pm in St. Ignatius Hall.
