Senior Everett Kramer has accepted an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy. Upon graduation, cadets earn a Bachelor of Science degree and are commissioned as officers in the United States Coast Guard, committing to at least five years of active-duty service.

Prior to earning his appointment, Kramer attended the United States Coast Guard Academy’s Academy Introduction Mission (AIM), a highly selective summer leadership program between his junior and senior years. Appointments to the Academy are awarded through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s academic achievement, physical fitness, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and performance during the AIM program, including evaluations from Coast Guard cadet instructors. During AIM, Kramer earned a perfect score on the Academy Indoctrination Exam, scored 207 on the Physical Fitness Exam, placed second in his platoon’s drill command competition, and helped Bravo Platoon graduate as the Honor Platoon, finishing first among eight platoons.

Throughout his time at Jesuit, Kramer has distinguished himself as a leader in academics, extracurricular activities, and service. He serves as president of the Youth and Government Club, positivity coordinator of Mu Alpha Theta, and is an active member of the J-Troupe improv comedy team, Philelectic Society, Mock Trial, cross country, and track and field.

Beyond campus, Kramer has dedicated his time to serving others through Hotel Hope, assisting women and children experiencing homelessness, and Grace at the Greenlight. His commitment to leadership and service reflects the values fostered throughout his experience as a Blue Jay.

Kramer is an alumnus of St. Matthew the Apostle School and Christian Brothers School and the son of Emily Kramer and Eric Kramer ’91.
