LAX Finishes with D2 Championship, Strong D1 Run

The lacrosse program capped off its 2026 campaign with not only a strong playoff run from the Blue Jay varsity team but also a special accomplishment by its JV squad: a LHSLL Division II state championship. The junior varsity Jays competed in LHSLL’s second division this year against peer schools’ varsity teams. The bold choice to “play up” to this level was rewarded with a X-Y state championship against Central.
The varsity team finished in the LHSLL state semifinals in a tough 10–11 loss against St. Paul’s.
Continuing onto the next level of competition is senior standout Zach Raymond, who will play next year for Centenary College.
The JV team is coached by Trey Reinhardt, father of Blue Jay lacrosse alumnus Will Reinhardt ’24. The program is led by Zach Pall, who coaches the varsity team.
