Regular Order, Day 6

• The jv baseball team will close out its season this afternoon hosting Holy Cross at John Ryan Stadium starting at 4:30.
• The Chess Club will meet today after school in Room 311. 
• The Quiz Bowl team will meet tomorrow after school in Room 411 to play the second round of the 30-20-10 online tournament.

Results:

• The Jesuit golf team defeated Holy Cross and Brother Martin this week to win the district championship.  The blue jays were led by freshman Augustin Gros who shot a sizzling round of 4 under par against the crusaders.  Others contributing to the wins were seniors William Boasberg and Julian Tullier, junior Duke Nitcher, and sophomores Brooks Blanchard and John Discon.  The Blue Jays finished the spring season with a perfect 8-0 record in district. 
• On Saturday, the varsity baseball team defeated Archbishop Rummel 5-3.  Maes Martin was the winning pitcher and struck out seven.  Jacob Chan picked up a save in relief.  Griffin Jeandron had two hits and three RBI’s in the game.  This victory helped secure a share of the Catholic League district championship.  
• The Jesuit Chess team composed of Austin Janusa, Khristofferson Mercadel, Aidan Thomas, Arav Kamboj, and Yousef Fallaha competed in the Scholastic State tournament this past weekend. Kristofferson won 6th place while Austin led the team to victory with an undefeated record cementing Jesuit as State Champions.
