2026 Alma Mater Award Honorees: Maria Siebenkittle, Tiffany Cazabon, and Pam Waguespack

The Jesuit community gathered to welcome mothers of current students and alumni to the annual Mothers’ Luncheon & Alma Mater Awards, a beloved tradition celebrating the women whose faithful service has helped shape generations of Blue Jays. The 2026 luncheon reflected the deep gratitude Jesuit holds for the mothers who entrust their sons to the school and live out its mission through lives of service.

Jessica Waguespack, luncheon chair, opened the event by welcoming guests and inviting them to stand for the National Anthem and “God Bless America,” beautifully performed by Roberto Matthews ’96. Jessica extended a special welcome to Jesuit alumni mothers, current mothers, senior mothers, and the 2026 Alma Mater Award honorees and their families, and acknowledged past recipients of the award, inviting them to stand in recognition.

Fr. John Brown, S.J., then presented the three Alma Mater Award recipients, sharing the story of each honoree’s service to the Jesuit community along with heartfelt reflections from their sons. Following the awards, Fr. Brown reflected on the Fr. Richard Thomas, S.J., and Madonna della Strada stained glass prayer cards, grounding the celebration in Jesuit spiritual foundations. He concluded by thanking Jessica Waguespack for her leadership as luncheon chair before offering the blessing over the meal, as guests enjoyed lunch provided by Metairie Country Club.

Tiffany Cazabon

Mother of Jack ’17 and George ’23

Tiffany Cazabon was a joyful and dedicated presence in the Jesuit community throughout her sons’ years and beyond. Tiffany wore many hats in support of Jesuit, serving on numerous Celebration committees including the Auction and Wine & Spirits Pull, and later as a Celebration co-chair. She also volunteered at the Bazaar through the Auction and Raffles, worked the concession stand as a basketball mom, and assisted with Admissions events such as Open House and Welcome Day, greeting new Blue Jay families with warmth and enthusiasm. Tiffany devoted her time to brainstorming new ideas and encouraging creative approaches, always focused on making events both successful and memorable.

“Her diligence and steadfast commitment to her role in Jesuit’s success is deeply inspiring to us and all that get to glimpse her altruistic spirit.”
— Jack ’17 and George ’23

A friend who nominated Tiffany shared that her commitment went far beyond what was expected of a volunteer, noting her kindness, positive attitude, and ability to make others feel welcome and inspired to serve alongside her.

Maria Siebenkittel

Mother of Sean ’03

Following a hiatus in the Alma Mater Awards program after Hurricane Katrina, Jesuit was proud to recognize volunteers from the early 2000s whose service left a lasting legacy, including Maria Siebenkittel. Maria exemplifies the spirit of service and dedication that defines the Alma Mater Award. She chaired Christmas Greens, served on the Special Events Committee, and supported gatherings such as Grandparents Day and Parent-Teacher Conferences. She also volunteered at the Bazaar, served on the Celebration Auction Committee, and was an active member of the Blue Jay Parents Club Board. During Sean’s years as a student, Maria volunteered at Open House, supported the football program, and was always cheerful and ready to help wherever needed.

“She served not for recognition, but for the love of the community and a belief that the giving of oneself makes others better.”
— Sean ’03

Sean credits his mother’s quiet generosity with shaping his understanding of leadership and responsibility, noting that her example continues to guide how he lives, serves, and gives back today. As was shared during the luncheon, if Jesuit’s motto is Men for Others, Maria truly lives as a Woman for Others.

Pam Waguespack

Mother of William ’16, James ’23, and Adam ’24

Pam Waguespack’s connection to Jesuit spans generations. The daughter of alumnus Dooty Patron ’51 and sister to Danny ’79 and Henry ’87, Pam’s love for Jesuit runs deep. Throughout her sons’ years as Blue Jays, she dedicated herself to both the spiritual and communal life of the school. Pam led the Mothers’ Rosary, organized the Mothers’ Day of Reflection, and supported numerous events and fundraising efforts including the Bazaar, Celebration, and Teacher Appreciation lunches. She also volunteered at the used book sale, used uniform sale, and worked in the bookstore. As a parent, Pam supported her sons in their activities—Adam on the football field, William in rugby and ROTC, and James in soccer—reflecting her deep investment not only in her own children but in the broader Blue Jay community. As a mother of alumni, Pam continues to attend the Mothers’ Rosary and Masses.

“Through her example, she taught us what it truly means to be men for others—to show up when it matters, to lead with humility, and to place the needs of community before our own.”
— William ’16, James ’23, and Adam ’24

A friend who nominated Pam praised her generosity, faith, and unwavering commitment to Jesuit’s mission, describing her as a true follower of St. Ignatius and a model of quiet, faithful service.

The event concluded with a spirit of gratitude for the women whose faith, generosity, and love continue to strengthen the Jesuit community.
