Regular Order, Day 5

  • The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116. 
  • Juniors scheduled for next weekend’s Kairos retreat must meet today during the first half of lunch in the auditorium.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • Students interested in attending the Model United Nations conference this semester are required to attend a follow-up meeting today during the second half of lunch in Room 228.
  • The varsity basketball team will open district play tonight hosting St. Augustine in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00.  The jv game begins at 5:45 while the 9th grade game starts at 4:30.  On Saturday afternoon the varsity plays at Destrehan starting a t 1:15 with the jv game starting at 12:00.
  • The varsity baseball team will scrimmage at Vandebilt Catholic this afternoon starting at 4:15.
  • The varsity soccer team plays at Teurlings Catholic this evening starting at 5:30.
  • The indoor track and field team will compete in the High School Qualifier Meet at LSU on Saturday.
  • The jv wrestling team will host and compete in the JV District Tournament on Saturday in the Benson Arena.
  • The junior high wrestling team will compete in the St. Paul’s Scramble on Saturday starting a t 9:00.
  • The 8th grade basketball team will face Holy Cross at 10:00 and John Curtis at 1:00 on Saturday with both games being played at Brother Martin.

Results:

  • The wrestling team finished up its district season with a 63-13 win against Rummel on Wednesday for Senior Night. Wins came from Sophomores Jackson Landry and Charlie Montgomery, Juniors Shane Roddy and Richard Nguyen. But the stars of the night were the seniors that picked up wins: Michael Barnett, Max Belsome, Stephen Ritter, Sean Timler, Quinn Anderson, Conner Vargas, and Will Berry. Wednesday’s win against Rummel helped the wrestling team seal up a share of the District Championship this season and helped the Blue Jays win their 3rd District title in row. Go Jays!
