Second Quarter Exam Schedule

  • Today’s exams are Math, Latin, and AP Computer Science. Tomorrow’s exams are Social Studies, French, Greek, and Spanish.
  • Students should not be in the hallways during the exam period or between exam periods.  Once you complete your exam you should exit the hallways quietly.  You may remain in the Commons, Resource Center, or the yard during this time.
  • Upon arrival at campus, students are required to place their cellphones in the off mode in their lockers. No phones may be used anywhere on campus until both exam periods are over. Students may not leave campus until they have completed exams for the day. PH will be held in Room 231 on Thursday; it will begin at 9am and will continue as long as is necessary for justice to be served.
  • The 8th grade Christmas Party will take place tomorrow after the second exam in the Commons. All prefreshmen are invited to attend.

Results:

  • The varsity basketball team defeated Vandebilt catholic 51 to 43 on Saturday to improve to 7and 1. Zach LaGraize led all scorers with 18 and Luke Wetmore scored 10 while also picking up a charge. Brennan Pitts led the defensive effort while pulling down 11 rebounds.
  • On Saturday, The Freshman basketball team went 3-0 and won the Dutchtown Tournament. The team beat East Ascension, Catholic, and Liberty by a combined score of 138-85. In the semi-final game against Catholic, Grant Hayes led the way with a double double with 18 points. Ben Royster scored 14. CJ Newsome, Owen Koloski, and Tyson Magee played well on both sides of the ball all day. Eli Weber, Nathan Braud, Jace Patton, and Luke Montalbano brought energy that helped the team capture the trophy. 
  • The 8th grade basketball team ran its record to 6-0 with 3 wins in the Rummel Invitational. Early round wins included a 47-19 defeat of U-High and 50-41 over Fairhope Middle School from Alabama. Dave Vandenweghe, Beau Smuck, Connor Discon, and Charlie Lyons all scored in double figures against Fairhope. The Baby Jays defeated Rummel in the championship, 45-35, with Vandenweghe and Smuck leading the scoring with 15 and 19 points respectively. Connor Discon made his 2nd buzzer-beating 3 of the young season at the end of the 1st quarter. Lyons, James Cheatham, and Dominick Bennett supported with rebounding, blocks, and interior defense.
