Regular Order, Day 5

  • Any 8th grader interested in trying out for the 8th grade baseball team should meet today during the first half of lunch in the baseball locker room.  
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116 to watch My Hero Academia. 
  • The varsity wrestling team will compete in the Border Wars Tournament in Santa Rosa Beach, FL this evening and on Saturday.
  • The 8th grade basketball team plays at St. Paul’s on Saturday starting at 10:00.
  • Monday we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Students are to come to school wearing a dress coat, dress shirt, tie, slacks, belt, dress shoes, and socks.  You may wear a suit if you wish. You must wear your coat and tie for homeroom and Mass.  During class you may take off your coat, but you must wear your tie properly and have your shirt tucked in all day. 
  • Printing fee notices for the month of November have been sent to students Outlook accounts. Please pay your fee by Monday, Dec. 8 in Room 215 either before school, at 1-minute break, or during the lunch hour to avoid losing computer services and receiving a PH.
  • Got talent? Auditions for Grease! are Friday, Dec. 12 at 3:30 PM. Email Mr. Cragin or stop by Room 201 during the second half of lunch with any questions. 
  • All intramural soccer games for today have been postponed due to weather. All teams should check IMleagues for your updated schedules.

Results:

  • On Tuesday, The basketball team defeated Hahnville 56-46. Leading the way were Sven Jensen, who had a double-double scoring 15 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while  Zack LaGraize had a big night scoring 25 points. Brennan Pitts had 7 assists while Elijah Carter and Thomas Hulefeld each picked up a charge helping the defensive effort. Last week the team went 3 and 0 in our tournament defeating Northshore, Salmen and Country Day. Brennan Pitts was named to the all-Tournamnent team while Zack LaGraize was named the Tournament’s Outstanding Player.  
  • Last month, the Quiz Bowl team competed in the national Knowledge Master Open online tournament. The team finished in 4th place in the Varsity division and 1st place in the JV division.
