CROSS COUNTRY CLINCHES FIFTH CONSECUTIVE STATE TITLE

With five in the top ten to cross the finish line, Cross Country once again clinches the LHSAA State Championship at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. Led by senior Brady Monahan’s first-place finish in 14:59.63, the Blue Jays wins its fifth consecutive state title, extending one of the most superior runs in program history.
Winning five straight state championships does not happen by accident. It is a testament to a program built on rigorous training, disciplined habits, and consistent excellence over time. From early-season meets at City Park to out-of-state invitationals on a national stage, Blue Jay runners have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the standard of excellence that defines Jesuit cross country.
This year’s championship performance showcased both individual strength and tight team cohesion. Alongside Monahan’s victory, senior Nick Accardo placed 3rd (15:18.29), followed by senior Connor Fanberg in 7th (15:37.18), junior David Quintana in 8th (15:38.29), and junior Nicholas Braud rounding out Jesuit’s scoring in 10th (15:46.91). junior Andrew Nimmo finished 14th (16:10.71), and junior Patrick Fitzmorris completed the lineup with a strong 23rd-place finish (16:29.97). With all seven runners finishing in the top 25, Jesuit left no doubt about its powerhouse cross country program.
The team’s work, however, is far from over. The Blue Jays now turn their attention to the 2025 Nike South Regional in The Woodlands, Texas next week on November 24. Top performances in Texas will earn them a spot to compete at the Nike Cross Nationals finals in Portland, Oregon, on December 6, 2025. With momentum and confidence on their side, Jesuit looks poised to continue its remarkable postseason run.
