Regular Order, Day 3

  • The Pickleball Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in the 3rd floor gym of the Roussel Building.
  • All National Honor Society members will meet today during the second half of lunch in Saint Ignatius Hall.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The Youth and Government Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 228.
  • The varsity football team will host John Curtis tonight at The Shrine with kickoff set for 7:00.  Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase online until 3:00 and at the front desk until 3:30.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Both Jesuit student ID’s and season passes will be accepted at the gate for admission.  Blue Jay fans should enter the grounds via Tom Benson Way and enter the stadium via Gate #1.  All parking is $10.00 per vehicle.  Pay parking and concession purchases are cashless.
  • The Jesuit Homecoming Dance is tomorrow from 8:00-11:30 at the Caesars Superdome. Tickets must be purchased online through GoFan. The link can be found on the Canvas homepage. Tickets are $60 presale and $70 at the door.  Information on attire can be found on the Jesuit website. 
  • The varsity, jv, and junior high cross county teams will compete in the Jack Schommer Invitational on Saturday morning in City Park.
  • The jv football team will play at John Curtis on Saturday morning starting at 10:00.
  • Tennis team tryouts will take place on Monday and Tuesday at City Park from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Pre-Freshman basketball tryouts will begin Monday after school in the Benson Arena. See Coach Rogers or Coach Eckholdt if you have any questions. 
  • Students who are not enrolled in an AP Class but would still like to take an AP Exam need to see Mrs. Yelton this week in College Counseling for more information. 

Results

  • Congratulations to the Jesuit Golf Team on their recent 141-166 defeat of Holy Cross.  The Blue Jays were led by a 3 under par 33 shot by Sophomore Brooks Blanchard and two 1 under rounds of 35 shot by Senior Julien Tullier and Freshmen Augustin Gros.  
  • The Beach Volleyball Squad finished up its district play with a dominant win over Brother Martin. Doubles teams comprised of Luca Marcello & Ryder Stewart and Jacob Waugaman & Kenny Charity both swept their sets. The Jays are set to defend their championship in the playoffs this Wednesday at White Sands.
