Seven Period Day, Day 5

  • The varsity football team will host St. Augustine tonight at The Shrine with kickoff set for 7:00.  Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase online through Friday at 3:00 and at the front desk daily from 7:30-3:30.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Both Jesuit student ID’s and season passes will be accepted at the gate for admission.  Blue Jay fans should enter the grounds via Tom Benson Way and enter the stadium via Gate #1.  All parking is $10.00 per vehicle.  Pay parking and concession purchases are cashless.
  • Join the Spanish Club today during lunch in Room 409 to watch Flamin’ Hot, the story of a Mexican-American who invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Snacks will be provided.
  • Gizzard Gameday returns today during the first half of lunch in the courtyard. Will the Jays stay hot against the St. Aug Purple Knights? Come get all the latest football news and hot takes from your Gameday commentators and special guests.
  • All juniors and sophomores are invited to the 2025 PSAT prep rally in the courtyard during the second half of lunch today.  Come by for some helpful study materials and get pumped with the help of your class level officers.
  • The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116.
  • The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
  • The Youth and Government Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 228.
  • The Pokémon Club will meet today after school in Room 313.
  • Table Top Gaming Club will meet today after school in Room 314.
  • Any Quiz Bowl members interested in attending the Baton Rouge Episcopal tournament on Oct. 25 should send Mr. Yokum a Canvas message today.
  • The varsity, jv, and junior high cross country teams will compete in the Pete Boudreaux Invitational on Saturday morning at Highland Park in Baton Rouge.
  • The swimming team will compete in a dual meet against E.D. White on Saturday at the St. James Aquatic Center starting at 9:30.
  • Seniors are reminded that their Service Project Reflections will take place immediately after their last scheduled exam on Monday. Please consult rosters located in homeroom in order to know your time and location for your reflection. All seniors that have completed their 100 hours and service essay are expected to be there. Please see Mr. Delatte if you have any questions.
  • Printing fees are due today before the end of the lunch period.

Results:

  • On Tuesday the freshmen football team defeated St. Augustine 30-6. Reid Toscano threw for 4 touchdowns. Three of Toscano’s TD passes going to Hartley Long and the other to Lucien Thompson. Stout defensive play with key tackles from Matthew Malone, Cole Cascio, and a sack resulting in a safety from Owen McGehee. Michael Psilos, CJ Newsome, Q Reagan, Cullen Wynne and James Howat shut down the Purple Knights passing attack. Congratulations.
