Assembly Order #2, Day 4
- Today’s assembly period will take place before lunch from 11:30-12:30. While seniors are rehearsing for ring mass, the rest of the student body will have grade-level assemblies. 8th and 9th graders and their homeroom teachers will report to the auditorium for a presentation by Mr. Cisco Gonzales who will mental health and technology. 10th and 11th graders and their homeroom teachers will report to the courtyard for a presentation by Sudden Impact. Students should leave their books in their 4th period classrooms during the assembly period.
- The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116.
- The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
- The Card Magic Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 402.
- The J-Troupe, Jesuit’s elite improv comedy team, will meet today after school in Room 202.
- The varsity football team will host E.D. White in our home opener tonight at Tad Gormley Stadium with kickoff set for 7:00. Pre-sale tickets are available for at the front desk until 3:30 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5.00 each for Jesuit students and children (ages 6-11) and $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students. All adult and student (Jesuit and non-Jesuit) tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each. Note that student ID’s will not be accepted at the gate for this non-district contest.
- The theme for tonight’s game is a Blue Out. The MCJROTC is hosting a tailgate before tonight’s game. Master Gunns will be cooking jambalaya and serving will begin around 5pm.
- There will be a pep rally today during the second half of lunch in the courtyard.
- Seniors, the ring dance will take place at the Moore this Saturday from 8:00-11:00pm. Tickets can be purchased through GoFan.
- The varsity, jv, and junior high cross county teams will compete in the Country Day Cajun Classic on Saturday morning at City Park. The varsity and jv will run at 7:30 followed by the junior high at 8:50.
- Juniors attending Kairos 119 must meet Monday at the beginning of lunch in the auditorium.
- Admissions representatives from Stevens Institute of Technology and University of Chicago will be available today during lunch in the College Counseling Suite.
Results:
- The Jesuit swimming team zoomed past St Paul’s and Mandeville to win the Mandeville invite. The Aquanauts were led with first place finishes by freshmen Liam Phan and Harrison Tschirn and Juniors Dillon Nguyen and Luke Barnett. In the 200 medley relay, senior Ben Breithaupt hammered the competition in the 200 IM; Junior Dillon Nguyen zipped to first in the 50 free, then zapped to first in the 100 breast. Junior Louis Roux burned rubber to victory in the 500 free; and Senior Grant Castillon put his foot down to stamp victory in the 100 back. Additionally, relay teams of Castillon, Tripp Yount, Breithaupt, and Samuels and Castillon, Samuels, Breithaupt and Nguyen charged to Victory. Congrats to the AquaJays on their victory.
