Regular Order, Day 3

  • Co-curricular Rush Days will continue today during lunch in the Commons. This is a great opportunity for students to join a club. See below for a list of clubs for each day.
  • The Society of Saint Joseph invites all students to an IKON-style discussion about the question “What does it mean to be a man?” today during the second half of lunch in Room 304.
  • The Tabletop Board Gaming Club meets each Friday after school from 3 pm until 5 pm in Room 314. Anyone interested in joining the club or starting your own game should see Mr. Speyrer or simply come on Fridays.
  • Any students interested in joining Quiz Bowl, Jesuit’s academic trivia team, should meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 411.
  • MCJROTC will host an informational meeting tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 110 to discuss the MCJROTC PROGRAM. Any questions, please see Master Gunnery Sergeant Piseno
  • Returning National Honor Society members will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 121.
  • The J-Troupe, Jesuit’s Elite Improv Comedy team, will meet tomorrow after school until 4:30.
  • On Friday varsity swimming team will host Catholic in a dual meet at UNO starting at 6:15. The event will include a student section belly flop contest and a house raft race. This is the top two teams in the state so a strong showing of support from the Gizzard is needed. The first 50 students to fill the student section will receive limited edition Gizzard shirts.
  • Friday will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt on Friday to show your support for the swim team.
  • Seniors who have not yet completed their 100 hours are reminded that their forms of Intention to complete their service project are today to Room 127.
  • Friday is the deadline to sign an intramural flag football team. Students must sign up on IMleagues.com. Instructions on how to sign up are on the student life page on canvas.
  • Printing fee notices for the month of August have been sent to students’ Outlook accounts—not Canvas messaging.  If you received a bill in your email, you must pay this fee in Room 215 either before school, at 10-minute break, or during the lunch hour before Monday, Sept. 8. Failure to pay this bill may in a PH and a loss of computer services.
  • An admissions representative from University of Miami will be available  today during lunch in the College Counseling Suite.
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors: The nomination process for the 2025 Jesuit Homecoming Court begins today. Earlier this morning, you received a Canvas email with the nomination form and detailed instructions. To be considered for Homecoming Court, all required documents and photos must be submitted by next Tuesday, Sept. 9. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Campos or Mr. Kling.
