The soccer team was awarded the 2025-2026 Allstate Sugar Bowl Outstanding Boys Prep Team, adding another prestigious honor to a historic undefeated season.

The Blue Jays earned the recognition after completing an unbeaten 21-0-1 campaign and capturing the program’s 14th LHSAA Division I state championship. The championship run showcased the Jays’ success throughout the postseason. After securing the No. 1 seed with a regular-season victory over Brother Martin, the soccer team recorded three consecutive playoff shutouts, outscoring Sulphur, Dutchtown, and East Ascension by a combined 20-0 before defeating Baton Rouge in the state semifinals to earn a rematch with the Crusaders.

The Blue Jays’ remarkable run extended well beyond Louisiana. The Jays finished the season ranked No. 2 nationally by the United Soccer Coaches and also earned a No. 2 national ranking from MaxPreps, cementing its place among the nation’s elite high school soccer programs.
