Regular Order, Day 2

  • We will have Adoration today in the 2nd floor chapel. Please join us for prayer with Christ in the Eucharist. There will be praise and worship music during the second half of lunch. 
  • Confessions during the second half of lunch are cancelled for today. Confessions will return on Friday.
  • All prefreshmen must meet today during the first half of lunch in the auditorium. Enter through the back entrance on Solomon St.
  • Seniors who did not pick up their Balfour graduation announcements on Tuesday can do so today during or immediately after homeroom in the Commons.
  • Student Council Executive Board Candidate Forms are available in the Student Activities Office and on Canvas. Completed forms are due on March 7. 
  • The JHS Chess Team will be hosting its annual Mission Drive Tournament, beginning on Tuesday, March 12. The deadline to register is March 11, and the cost to participate is $15.  Chess team members will not be participating. To register, email Mr. Campos at camposJ@jesuitnola.org or see him in Room 311 during the first half of lunch or after school.  The winner will receive a $50 gift card of his choice, a dozen of Sra. Campos’s famous chocolate chip cookies, and a unique JHS chess piece trophy. If you think you have what it takes to become this year’s chess champion, sign-up and claim your title.  More details will be emailed to those who register.
  • Seniors: This is the last week to register for the Three-Day Silent and Wilderness retreats. Come by Campus Ministry to submit forms or if you have any questions.
  • The SABR club will meet today during the first half lunch in Room 331 to discuss the upcoming MLB season.
  • The Pro-Life club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 316. 
  • The Ice Cream Social Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in the Roussel building to give out merch to those who ordered it.
  • There will be a big brother meeting today during the second half of lunch in the auditorium.
  • NHS recycling will take place today after school in Room 121.
  • Winter Sports Recognition Night will take place tonight in the auditorium.  Report time for all basketball, soccer, and wrestling lettermen is 6:10.  The attire for this event is coat and tie.
  • All Star Intramurals week is here. All events will take place during lunch. Today is the Junior vs Senior All Star game in the Benson Arena. Tomorrow is the Faculty vs Senior Basketball game in the Benson Arena. Rosters for the 3 point, skills, and Junior/ Senior Alll Star games will be posted in the Commons.
  • The Phils Tech Crew meets today from 3:00-5:30.
  • The JHSP Radio Theatre Club will meet today after school from 3:30-5:00 in Room 202.
  • The Cast of Guys & Dolls will rehearse today from 4:30-7:00. Phaculty Phils needed, please.
  • The golf team will face St. Augustine at Bartholomew this afternoon starting at 4:00.
  • The 8th grade baseball team will face John Curtis this evening at Delta starting at 6:00.
  • The annual FIFA mission drive tournament is back! The auction for teams will be held in the commons during lunch. The auction will start on Monday we come back from exams and will end on that Wednesday. The winner will receive a $100 visa card. More details will be emailed to those who buy a team. 
  • Tomorrow any homeroom who collected $150 for the Mission Drive is eligible to wear Fresh Kicks. Homeroom teachers have been notified. Fresh kicks should be as follows: shoes must cover the toes and have backs; slides, flip-flops, and sandals are not allowed. Students may wear Crocs, but they must be in ‘sport mode.’ White socks may be worn in place of black socks, but socks must be worn. Each qualifying homeroom will be given a bracelet. Any student who wants to wear fresh kicks from that homeroom much have that bracelet on when they are wearing fresh kicks. The bracelet will indicate they are allowed to wear the shoes and will not be given a PH for being out of dress code. Any student not wearing the proper bracelet and wearing fresh kicks will receive a PH.
