Regular Order, Day 6

  • Student Council Executive Board Candidate Forms are available in the Student Activities Office and on Canvas. Completed forms are due on March 7. 
  • The Phils Tech Crew will meet today after school until 5:30.
  • J-Troupe will meet today from 3:30-5:00 in Room 202.
  • The Cast of Guys & Dolls will rehearse today from 4:30-7PM. Phaculty Phils excused.
  • The bowling team faces Rummel this afternoon at Bowlero starting at 3:20.
  • The jv baseball team plays at Shaw this evening starting at 5:30.
  • Students who volunteered to donate blood today are reminded to bring a photo ID to your appointment. It is very important that you have eaten a good meal prior to donating. Permission slips can still be turned in when you go to your appointment. Please see Mrs. Tassin if you need to cancel.
  • All basketball, soccer, and wrestling lettermen are expected to report tomorrow during lunch to the weight room for lettermen jacket measurements and stripe and logo distribution.
  • Balfour will be on campus tomorrow during lunch in the Student Activities Office, Room 131 to distribute senior graduation announcements to those who ordered them.
  • The JHS Chess Team will be hosting its annual Mission Drive Tournament, beginning on Tuesday, March 12. The deadline to register is March 11, and the cost to participate is $15.  Chess team members will not be participating. To register, email Mr. Campos at camposJ@jesuitnola.org or see him in Room 311 during the first half of lunch or after school.  The winner will receive a $50 gift card of his choice, a dozen of Sra. Campos’s famous chocolate chip cookies, and a unique JHS chess piece trophy. If you think you have what it takes to become this year’s chess champion, sign-up and claim your title.  More details will be emailed to those who register.

Results:

  • Congratulations to the Jesuit golf team on their victory against the Belle Chasse cardinals at Timberlane country club. The low round of the match was fired by senior Ryan Hollander.
  • On Friday, the varsity baseball team beat Belle Chasse 7-4.  Michael Brothers, Marshal Serio, and Connor Donnelly each had two hits.  Jake Moreci was the winning pitcher.  Moreci struck out nine batters.  On Saturday, the varsity baseball team defeated Ascension Episcopal 10-0.  Marshal Serio had three hits and Michael Brothers hit a home run.  Beau Matulewski pitched a complete game.  Also on Saturday, the varsity baseball beat Harrison Central from Mississippi 3-0.  Connor Donnelly pitched a no hitter and struck out eight batters.
