Regular Order, Day 7

• This week we are raising money for the Mission Drive through a drive for Fresh Kicks Fridays. Each homeroom that raises a minimum of $150 will be awarded a Fresh Kick Friday on Friday March 8 (the Fridays after exams).  Bring money into your homeroom all this week and give to your homeroom faculty member or rep. Homerooms that make this minimum amount will be issued a bracelet to be worn on Fresh kicks day along with your Fresh kicks. Shoes must cover the toes and have backs. Slides, flip-flops, and sandals are not allowed. Students may wear Crocs, but they must be in ‘sport mode.’ White socks may be worn in place of black socks, but socks must be worn.
• The JHS Chess Team will be hosting its annual Mission Drive Tournament, beginning on Tuesday, March 12. The deadline to register is March 11, and the cost to participate is $15. To register, email Mr. Campos at camposJ@jesuitnola.org or see him in Room 309 during the first half of lunch or after school.  The winner will receive a $50 gift card of his choice, a dozen of Sra. Campos’s famous chocolate chip cookies, and a unique JHS chess piece trophy.  If you think you have what it takes to become this year’s chess champion, sign-up and claim your title.  More details will be emailed to those who register.
• Students who volunteered to donate blood on Monday are reminded to turn in permission slips to Mrs. Tassin by Friday, March 1. Please see Mrs. Tassin if you have questions.
• Tomorrow is the last day to bring Mardi Gras beads to be donated to St. Michael’s for recycling. Drop them outside the library or at the front desk.
• Students interested in joining the Pickleball club are invited to attend a meeting and to play Pickleball during lunch today on the 3^rd floor gym in the Roussel Building. Students in all grades are welcome today.
• The Creative Writing Club will meet during the first half of lunch in Room 116. 
• Any student interested in becoming a Jesuit Summer Day Camp Counselor should meet Coach Giambelluca today during the first half of lunch in Room 319.
• Leap Day means no March Madness yet. Discuss other topics at today’s Sports Analysis Club meeting during the second half of lunch in Room 231. 
• The Pro-Life club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 316. 
• The Green Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 416 to discuss our field trip.
• The Phils Tech Crew will meet today from 3-5:30PM.
• Can you do character voices and accents?  Are you interested in Voice Acting? Do you love story-telling but hate memorizing lines?  The JHSP Radio Theatre club will meet today after school from 3:30-5:00PM in Room 202.
• The Cast of Guys & Dolls will rehearse today from 4:30-7PM, Phaculty Phils needed, please.
• The bowling team will face Hahnville this afternoon at Bowlero starting at 3:20.
• The golf team will face Belle Chasse this afternoon at Timberlane starting at 3:30.
• All intramural basketball participants must check the Referee schedule in your Outlook to avoid being in eligible for the playoffs. See Coach Martin if you have any issues or concerns.
• Any Juniors and seniors who would like to participate in the skills challenge, 3 point contest, or be nominated to play in the ALL STAR game next week must sign up today or tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the Commons. You may only sign up for one of the two events.
